Explore wasted food solutions throughout the six-week FRRI course. This is a hybrid course including online instruction along with weekly, in-person field sessions throughout the state of Rhode Island. Learn alongside like-minded participants and be inspired by community organizations making grassroots progress in RI.

Combining research-based information, ancestral knowledge, and practical application, you will learn to make the most out of your food at home while contributing to collective change in the community. You will come out of the course with several skills that you can apply directly in your day-to-day life from food storage, preservation, composting and more.

The course fee is $255 and covers access to the online course materials, the four required field sessions, class supplies and the 40-hour internship. Note that you may register for more field sessions (in addition to the required four) for $20/session.
