Mastering Healthcare Simulation: From Foundations to Expertise

This immersive training combines in-person facilitation (Tuesdays, 4pm-8pm) at the RI Nursing Education Center with online learning content to provide comprehensive knowledge in healthcare simulation, equipping participants with the skills to design, deliver, and evaluate high-quality, simulation-based education.

Over seven weeks, participants will explore key topics such as learning theory, scenario design, prebriefing, debriefing, and simulation operations—including work with manikins, virtual reality, and standardized patients. The training will also cover applicable research, special projects, and professional development pathways such as CHSOS and CHSE certification.

Through hands-on activities, assessments, and expert-led instruction, participants will gain the expertise needed to enhance learning, improve student and patient outcomes, and drive innovation in healthcare simulation.

Whether you're new to simulation or looking to refine your skills, this training will empower you to lead impactful training experiences in healthcare education.

Program Topics Program Cost Registration Process

This training will cover the following topics, with online content assigned between the weekly in-person meetings:

Foundations of Healthcare Simulation
Operations: including work with manikins, virtual reality, and standardized patients
Evaluation of simulation and competency

The cost for the Mastering Healthcare Simulation training program is $3,000/participant. A processing fee of ($82.50) will apply for payments made with credit card.
If you make payment via ACH(Direct Debit) method the processing fee does not apply.
